CONSULTATIONS Consultations are by appointment only and are held at our home in Summerville, SC. As we are very limited on time and availability, we offer consultations for wedding cakes only. During the consultation, you will be able to view some display cakes before we sit down and have a chat about your cake. We will work through design, colors, delivery and flavors and you will have the chance to sample some cake and fillings. Consultations are $30 for two people and include 5 of are most requested flavors and three flavors of buttercream/filling, and a $10 credit goes towards your order. Consultations typically take 30 minutes to an hour.
PRICES Prices for our cakes will depend on many factors; including size, design complexity, design details and we can’t ignore the amount of work and time that goes into executing these designs. You can look at our Prices & Menu tab to get a general idea of cost. However, please know that will not directly reflect on the final price. Feel free to inquire if you would like an accurate quote.
DELIVERY We deliver and set up ALL wedding cakes at a time that works best with both of our schedules. Although we are based in Summerville, we will absolutely travel to your venue to ensure that your cake and sweets arrive safely and are set up beautifully. Events and special occasions orders, even though you can choose to pick up at our location, we highly recommend anything over 2 tiers be delivered. Delivery and set up fees are based on mileage and the amount of time needed for set up.
DEPOSITS AND BALANCES A 50% non-refundable retainer is due at time of booking to reserve your day. A booking is only confirmed when the deposit is made. The remaining balance is due 30 day prior to your wedding/large event. For smaller events and orders, remaining balance is due 14 days prior to event date. Any order booking with less than 14 days before event is due in full at time of booking.
ORDERING JUST THE CAKE Can we order just the cake from you?? Generally speaking, no. We hold your needs, wants, allergies, and client safety in the highest regard possible. To ensure that quality control, assumption of origin, and liability to the standards required, we simply cannot offer goods and services in conjunction with other items. Special considerations are taken on case by case basis with a licensed vendor who will only provide items we do not.
CAKE STAND & HIRE We have a small collection of stands and crates that can be hired to accompany your cake. We charge $10 per stand to hire for 4 days and a $50 security deposit in case of any loss or damage. The deposit will be refunded once you have returned the stand to us. We only hire stands to our customers who order a cake.
ORDERING PROCESS We ask that you inquire so that your information gets emailed to us and we can keep track of our communications. If you are a wedding client, we will schedule a consultation/tasting if you choose, if you are an event client we will get you general pricing via email and proceed with invoicing. After meeting the couple, we will put together your list of flavors, notes we took, and comprise a proposal of recommended services and items for your special day. You then can review the proposal, approve it (revisions can be made as needed), and you will sign a contract and pay the 50% non-refundable retainer
